PhonePe or Google Pay on PC: is there an official app for Windows?

Quick answer

No. PhonePe and Google Pay offer their UPI apps only for Android phones and iPhones, through Google Play and the App Store. Neither Google Play listing offered 'Install on Windows' when we checked on 30 October 2026, and neither company publishes a Windows or Mac download. Files called 'PhonePe for PC' or 'Google Pay PC download' on other sites, and emulator-plus-APK guides, are not from the publishers. To pay while you're on a computer, finish the UPI step on your phone.

The short answer

There is no official PhonePe or Google Pay app for Windows or Mac. Both companies publish their UPI apps for phones only:

Some Android apps on Google Play show an Install on Windows button, which installs them through Google's own Google Play Games for PC. When we checked the India listings on 30 October 2026, neither PhonePe nor Google Pay showed that button. So any "PC version" you find elsewhere did not come from PhonePe or Google.

Why UPI apps stay on your phone

UPI registration is tied to the phone and its SIM. Google's own help page for Google Pay India describes this: when you set up a UPI ID, Google Pay sends an SMS to your bank on your behalf. On Android this happens in the background; on an iPhone you tap Send. A computer has no SIM to send that SMS from.

Google's help also mentions using payment methods saved in Google Wallet through Chrome autofill on a computer. That covers saved cards for online checkout. It does not describe sending UPI money from a computer.

What PhonePe offers on the web: for businesses only

PhonePe runs a Business Dashboard on the web for registered merchants. PhonePe's developer documentation says businesses log in to their PhonePe Business accounts there, either with the registered phone number and an OTP or with a business email and password. The documented sections are Home, Transaction, Reports, Settlements, Manage Users, Profile and Help. It is for viewing and managing a merchant account. PhonePe's documentation does not describe it as a way to send personal UPI payments.

How to pay when you're working on a computer

  1. If a website shows a UPI QR code at checkout, open PhonePe or Google Pay on your phone and scan it.
  2. If the website asks for your UPI ID, type it in and approve the request in your phone app with your UPI PIN.
  3. Before you enter the PIN, check the amount and the payee name. NPCI's UPI Safety Shield page puts it plainly: you enter your UPI PIN only to send money. You never need it to receive money.

Fake "PC versions" to avoid

Google shows searches such as "phonepe apk for pc" and "phonepe app download 9apps for pc". Those files come from third-party sites, not from PhonePe or Google. Emulator guides send you to an APK from an unknown source as well. A modified payment app can read your messages, including OTPs, and capture your PIN. Troubleshooting

"I can't find Install on Windows on the PhonePe or Google Pay Play page." That's expected: neither app offers it. The button appears only on apps that support Google Play Games for PC, such as some games. See BGMI or Free Fire on PC.

"A site says it has the official PhonePe desktop app." Close it. PhonePe's official channels are its Google Play and App Store listings and phonepe.com.

"My phone is lost and I need to pay from my laptop." There's no PC app to fall back on. Call your bank on the number printed on your card or passbook to block UPI and net banking, and contact PhonePe or Google Pay through the help section of their official apps or websites.

"I run a shop and want to see payments on a big screen." If you're a registered PhonePe merchant, the PhonePe Business Dashboard shows your transactions, reports and settlements on the web.

UPI ऐप फ़ोन पर ही क्यों रहते हैं

UPI रजिस्ट्रेशन फ़ोन और उसके SIM से जुड़ा होता है। Google Pay India के अपने help पेज में यही लिखा है: UPI ID सेट करते समय Google Pay आपकी ओर से आपके बैंक को एक SMS भेजता है। Android पर यह अपने-आप पीछे होता है; iPhone पर आपको Send दबाना होता है। कंप्यूटर में SIM ही नहीं होता, तो वह SMS भेजा ही नहीं जा सकता।

Google के help पेज में कंप्यूटर पर Chrome autofill से Google Wallet में सेव किए पेमेंट तरीके इस्तेमाल करने की बात भी है। वह ऑनलाइन चेकआउट के लिए सेव किए कार्ड की सुविधा है। उसमें कंप्यूटर से UPI पैसे भेजने का कोई ज़िक्र नहीं है।

वेब पर PhonePe क्या देता है: सिर्फ़ व्यापारियों के लिए

रजिस्टर्ड व्यापारियों के लिए PhonePe वेब पर एक Business Dashboard चलाता है। PhonePe के developer दस्तावेज़ के मुताबिक़ व्यापारी वहाँ अपने PhonePe Business अकाउंट में लॉग-इन करते हैं, रजिस्टर्ड फ़ोन नंबर और OTP से या बिज़नेस ईमेल और पासवर्ड से। उसमें Home, Transaction, Reports, Settlements, Manage Users, Profile और Help सेक्शन बताए गए हैं। यह मर्चेंट अकाउंट देखने और संभालने के लिए है। PhonePe के दस्तावेज़ में इसे निजी UPI पेमेंट भेजने का तरीका नहीं बताया गया है।

कंप्यूटर पर काम करते हुए पेमेंट कैसे करें

  1. अगर वेबसाइट चेकआउट पर UPI QR कोड दिखाए, तो फ़ोन पर PhonePe या Google Pay खोलकर उसे स्कैन करें।
  2. अगर वेबसाइट आपकी UPI ID माँगे, तो उसे भरें और फ़ोन के ऐप में UPI PIN डालकर रिक्वेस्ट मंज़ूर करें।
  3. PIN डालने से पहले रकम और पाने वाले का नाम ज़रूर देखें। NPCI के UPI Safety Shield पेज पर साफ़ लिखा है: UPI PIN सिर्फ़ पैसे भेजने के लिए डाला जाता है। पैसे पाने के लिए PIN की कभी ज़रूरत नहीं होती।

नकली "PC वर्ज़न" से बचें

Google पर "phonepe apk for pc" और "phonepe app download 9apps for pc" जैसी खोजें दिखती हैं। ऐसी फ़ाइलें थर्ड-पार्टी साइटों से आती हैं, PhonePe या Google से नहीं। Emulator वाली गाइड भी आपको किसी अनजान जगह के APK पर ही भेजती हैं। बदला हुआ पेमेंट ऐप आपके मैसेज, OTP समेत, पढ़ सकता है और आपका PIN चुरा सकता है। कोई साइट या अनजान व्यक्ति कुछ भेजे, तो इंस्टॉल करने से पहले हमारी गाइड नकली UPI या बैंक APK कैसे पहचानें पढ़ें।

समस्या और समाधान

"PhonePe या Google Pay के Play पेज पर Install on Windows नहीं दिख रहा।" यह सामान्य है: दोनों में से कोई यह विकल्प नहीं देता। यह बटन सिर्फ़ उन ऐप पर आता है जो Google Play Games for PC पर चलते हैं, जैसे कुछ गेम। देखें BGMI या Free Fire PC पर।

We don't recommend it. Neither PhonePe nor Google offers an emulator route, and the APK has to come from a site other than Google Play. A tampered payment app can steal OTPs and your UPI PIN.
