When a Windows upgrade fails and rolls back, SetupDiag reads the setup logs and matches them against known causes such as a bad driver, low disk space, an incompatible app or a TPM block, often with a suggested fix. Windows Setup already runs it automatically, but downloading the latest copy from Microsoft gives you current rules. Run it from an elevated Command Prompt and read SetupDiagResults.log.

Where are SetupDiag's results?
When you run it manually it writes SetupDiagResults.log next to SetupDiag.exe. When Windows Setup runs it, results go to %WinDir%\Logs\SetupDiag\SetupDiagResults.xml.
