Our verdict
Every RouterOS upgrade file comes from this one page. Pick the channel (long-term, stable or development) and your router's CPU architecture, and MikroTik shows each package with its SHA-256. The same page carries Cloud Hosted Router images, SwitchOS for CSS/CRS switches, Netinstall, WinBox, The Dude and the mobile apps. At the time of checking, stable was 7.25 and long-term was 7.23.8. Before flashing: back up the current configuration, match the exact model AND hardware version printed on the label, and never load firmware made for a different model or region. Use a wired connection and do not cut power during the upgrade. Take firmware only from the vendor's own portal — not from YouTube links, Telegram groups or mirror sites.

FAQ
Where do I download MikroTik firmware?
From mikrotik.com/download only. Choose RouterOS, the channel and your router's architecture. RouterOS can also update itself from System → Packages → Check for updates when the router has internet access.
How do I know which package my router needs?
Check the architecture shown under System → Resources in WinBox (for example arm, arm64 or mipsbe) and download the package for that architecture and channel.
Should I use stable or long-term?
Long-term gets only important fixes and suits production ISP networks. Stable gets new features sooner. Read the changelog on the same page before upgrading.
I upgraded RouterOS — do I need to upgrade the RouterBOARD firmware too?
On RouterBOARD devices, RouterBOOT firmware is upgraded separately: after the RouterOS upgrade, use System → RouterBOARD → Upgrade and reboot once more.
