BHIM is the UPI app made by NPCI, the organisation that runs UPI itself. It is lighter on offers and cross-selling than private apps, and adds useful extras such as Family Mode, spend insights, UPI Lite for small PIN-less payments and RuPay credit cards on UPI. A good pick if you want a plain payments app. Payment and banking apps are a favourite target for fake APKs shared on WhatsApp, Telegram and lookalike websites. Install only from Google Play or the App Store and check the developer name before you tap Install.
