Our verdict
Kiro suits developers who want more structure than a chat box: it can turn a request into requirements, a design and a task list before the agent writes code. It is built on Code OSS, so VS Code settings, themes and Open VSX extensions carry over. The free tier's 50 credits run out quickly on real projects, and individual users' content may be used for service improvement unless they opt out in settings.
