Our verdict
You need the Epic Games Launcher for Fortnite, Unreal Engine and the store's weekly free games, which alone make an account worth having. It covers the basics (library, cloud saves for supported games, achievements) but is slower and less polished than Steam. Expect it to sit in the system tray unless you switch that off.
