  1. 1Open gst.gov.in/help/docsigner.
  2. 2Choose v3.3 if your DSC token was obtained on or after 21 Sep 2026; otherwise choose v2.8.
  3. 3Install it with administrator rights.
  4. 4Before signing on the portal, right-click emSigner → 'Run as administrator' and accept the service-start message.

  1. 1Run emSigner as administrator before you open the GST portal.
  2. 2Make sure one of the ports 1585, 2095, 2568, 2868 or 4587 is free — close other signer utilities.
  3. 3Check that you installed the right version (v3.3 or v2.8) for when your token was issued.
  4. 4Reinstall your token's driver from the Certifying Authority that issued your DSC, then plug the token in again.
  5. 5Use Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a PC — DSC signing does not work on mobile.
