Our verdict
A government-made alternative to Windows' built-in Indic keyboards: type 22 Indian languages in Unicode in Word, LibreOffice or Notepad with Inscript or on-screen keyboards, and predictive 'iWriting' for 10 languages. It ships with C-DAC's Sakal Bharati fonts. The build dates from 2016 and C-DAC states support from Windows 7, so test it on Windows 11 before rolling it out across an office.
